Almost every market I have at least one little kid with a tiny fist of change wanting to know what they can buy for it. I'm calling these little cuties Bugaboos. I'm not going to put a price on them and will charge the kids very little to nothing for them. They make me smile to make them. They make me smile to look at them. They are going to make me smile to send them to a happy little kid.At the bottom is a multi color transparent with encased silver foil. This was supposed to be the base for the bead just to the left of it, with all the murrini embedded in it. But when I got the encasing where it needed to be for the murrini the silver was glowing so beautifully I just couldn't take it any further. So I left it as is and started another for the murrini.
Some of you may remember me complaining about all the work for little outcome of murrini. Well, I found a shop on Etsy where 2 wonderful artists, LoriandKim, combine their efforts to make some wonderful murrini. I bought an assortment to see how I liked it. I LOVE it! The bead above is just the first of many.
Look for these and many more wonderful glass beads and baubles this weekend at the Holy Name of Mary Fall Festival this weekend - Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11 - starting at noon both days. While they are celebrating the 99th Fall Festival this year, this is the first festival that is not a school fair. So please come out and help to make it a success. We will have several artists, lots of great local food, wonderful local bands and lots more.

I like the idea of kid price-friendly items! When my 10 year-old does markets and shows with me, she loves to seek out special finds in her price range.
Sharon, what I finally wound up doing is marking a price on them and when a kid inquires I give it to them. But I'm not sure that works well because I had one kid run off scared when I offered it to him for free. Hopefully it's because his parents taught him well to not take anything from strangers. Maybe in the future I will ask them to bring their parents around first.
